Choisir un voyage axé nature et paysages au Népal, c'est composer avec une géographie qui passe de 60 mètres d'altitude dans la plaine du Teraï à 8 848 mètres au sommet de l'Everest, sur moins de 200 kilomètres à vol d'oiseau. Cette compression verticale rare au monde façonne des écosystèmes qui se succèdent en quelques jours de marche.

Nos équipes basées à Katmandou conçoivent des itinéraires qui révèlent cette diversité sans la survoler. Dans la région des Annapurnas, vous traversez des rizières en terrasses, des forêts de rhododendrons en fleurs entre mars et avril, puis des plateaux désertiques côté Mustang. Plus à l'est, le sentier vers le camp de base de l'Everest grimpe à travers les villages sherpas du Khumbu jusqu'à Kala Patthar, à 5 545 mètres.

Au sud, le contraste est total. Le parc national de Chitwan, inscrit à l'UNESCO depuis 1984, protège rhinocéros unicornes, tigres du Bengale et plus de 500 espèces d'oiseaux dans une jungle subtropicale traversée par la rivière Rapti.

Selon votre rythme et la saison, nos guides francophones orientent vers :

  • les treks panoramiques autour de Pokhara et du lac Phewa pour 4 à 7 jours de marche douce
  • les grandes traversées des Annapurnas ou du Manaslu sur 12 à 18 jours
  • les safaris à pied et en pirogue dans le Teraï
  • les lacs glaciaires de Gosaikunda et la vallée du Langtang, à deux jours de Katmandou

Les meilleures fenêtres météo restent octobre-novembre et mars-avril, quand la visibilité sur la chaîne himalayenne atteint son maximum.
