Equipment for Trekking

·

Traveling to Nepal often requires equipment suited to high-altitude mountain stays.

Trekking in Nepal's mountainous regions can be extremely demanding for participants, due to their altitude, duration, and climate which can be quite harsh, especially as night falls. To avoid health issues and discomfort, it's essential to have adequate, quality equipment and gear to ensure your trek unfolds under the best possible conditions.

Beyond high-quality, quick-drying clothing, you'll also need specialized equipment:

  • A thick down jacket for high altitudes,
  • Trekking poles,
  • High-altitude equipment (oxygen bottle, hyperbaric chamber),
  • A sleeping bag resistant to low temperatures,
  • A satellite phone for extended treks,
  • A Duffel Bag...

All of this equipment is highly specialized and requires a significant investment. But if you don't have your own gear, don't worry! With Bluesheep Journeys, trekking poles and Duffel Bags are provided free of charge for the duration of your trek, and other equipment is available for rental. Verified and cleaned after each use, the gear we offer is recent and of excellent quality.

Remember that your pack should not exceed 7 kg for a trek of a few days, or 15 kg for a trek of around twenty days. If you need to carry bulky items, such as a DSLR camera, consider hiring the services of a porter, who will make your trek considerably easier.
