Explore Nepal through our tailor-made trips, designed by Nirmala and her team from Kathmandu. Each itinerary combines the Newari temples of the Kathmandu Valley, trekking in the Annapurnas or Khumbu, rhinoceros and tiger safaris in Chitwan National Park, and depending on your preferences the highlands of Mustang. Whether you travel as a family, a couple or with friends, our programs adapt to your pace and trekking level. From a 12-day discovery trip blending culture and hills to an extended 3-week journey with high-altitude trekking and careful acclimatization, find the itinerary that suits you and set off with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.
Choose your trip in Nepal
How to choose your Nepal circuit?
Your choice mainly depends on available time and whether you want to trek at altitude. On a 13 to 17-day format, we typically offer the Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, a short trek like Mardi Himal or Poon Hill, and three nights in Chitwan. On 18 days or more, you can add the Annapurna Base Camp or Sanctuary, or even aim for Everest Base Camp which requires 12 to 14 days on its own, excluding Kathmandu.
For travelers who prefer to stay below 3,500 meters, culture-wildlife-hills combinations work very well over two weeks. First trips to Nepal benefit from combining the three key regions without seeking exhaustiveness.
Different circuit types
We build three main itinerary profiles. Cultural circuits linger in the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur and Patan, with Newar artisan workshops, Buddhist monasteries and a day in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. Adventure circuits include altitude treks, rafting on the Trishuli or Sun Koshi, and depending on season, ultralight flights over the Annapurnas from Pokhara.
Family journeys favor walks of one to three hours, comfortable lodge accommodations and a program alternating temples, jeep safari in Chitwan, and boat rides on Phewa Lake, suitable for children from 8 years old.
What is the best season?
October and November offer the best conditions: skies cleared by the monsoon, maximum visibility on peaks, temperatures of 15 to 22°C in Kathmandu and manageable nights at altitude up to 4,500 meters. March and April form the second peak season, with rhododendron blooms and longer days. December to February remains feasible at low altitude but we avoid treks above 4,000 meters due to cold. The mid-June to mid-September monsoon limits options, except in Tibetan rain-shadow zones like Mustang.
